Temperance
Fire appears to be a destructive force but when “tempered” or balanced with other elements, it serves a wonderful purpose. Similarly, Temperance as a card is a reminder that you have what you need to make something entirely new though in the form of raw ingredients. The Fool learns that they’re not a victim of circumstances when they meet Temperance. Although many things can happen to a person, you get lost when you start asking yourself if those things were “good” or “bad,” and what that means about you. This represents the determination to make things work even despite apparent odds. For creative people, this card is a blessing because it reaffirms that you can make do with anything.

Whether it’s feeling sorry for yourself or an overdose of pride, you’ve been relying too heavily on one coping mechanism to get you through the day. At times we go through a hard time and learn one particular behavior, approach, or phrase that gets us through it. If Temperance reversed appears in your reading, it means that tough time is either fading fast or gone already, and you’re left with the mess to clean up. This card signifies that it serves a greater purpose so pay attention. Try to be more methodical, or strategic, in how you mix things up. Autopilot works for short distances, but even when it comes to good things, too much is still too much.
