Strength
The Fool finds a witch’s cat familiar on their path and instantly wants to hide, imagining the cat will lash out and hurt them. However the Fool realizes the cat just wants to play. Its good time may look rough, but that’s part of the act. They know they’re not a big, bad predator, so it’s fun to pretend. The cat stands for Strength in Spoopy Tarot. Strength is when we honor and work with animals, spirits, and other forces outside of our control such as anxiety or fear. They seem scary, but it’s a matter of perspective. They’re not as powerful as you, no matter how much they may try. When you get this card in a reading, you need warmth and compassion. As out of control as it seems, remember strength from you is what will bring calm to this situation.
Strength Reversed
Strength reversed is a card of weakness or undue aggression. There’s an animalistic force, whether that’s an actual animal, anxiety, or even romantic line of thought, that’s dependent on you, that needs calm from you. However, you’re wrapped up in fear which is making it feel more nerves. While it’s not wise to push anyone or anything into something they don’t want, could the problem be that you’re not making it clear what you need from the situation? In the case of an animal for example, they just want to make you happy, but they don’t know how because you’re sending mixed messages. Be firm in your expectations and don’t waver. There may be an awkward period as you learn about each other, but stay resolute.
