The Devil
When you meet with the Devil in tarot, it’s a sign that you’re struggling with the concept of moderation. Whether that’s through vices or something as simple as negative self-talk, you’ve stumbled into the depths of losing control. Or so it would seem. The Devil is one of the most dreaded cards in tarot, but it’s not a doom and gloom prediction card or one of judgement. Rather, it’s a call for attention: are you staying true to what you value? You’ve let a negative force take the reins, but take a look at how the Devil is represented. A small piece of candy. Sure, small things can do big damage. But there’s comfort in just realizing you’re more than capable of doing the same thing back.
The Devil Reversed
The Devil reversed is usually a positive sign. You saw the damage a vice was doing and worked up to the physical actions needed to break free. Whether that was throwing something in the trash can or taking up a hobby to distract from negative thoughts, it was difficult as lifting a car in the air, but you did it. Good job! The world has noticed your hard work and additional help is on the way. The higher powers involved can be angels, ancestors, your higher self, or “the” higher power. The earth has noticed your dedication as well. You’re not alone in this, and you’ve inspired others who look up to you as well.
