The Tower

The Tower doesn’t signify anything more than a moment. It’s a bad night, but just a night. It’s a flash of regret after hearing a piece of bad news. Clearly though, the after effects of The Tower can last for longer. The creepy tower the Fool finds during one night of their journey has a sign outside reading, “Go Away” which leaves no room for interpretation. After weighing the options, the Fool decides to sleep there instead of outside anyway. It turns out the tower is filled with zombies. When you’re within the Tower, you’ll get a clear view of what’s old, stale, and falling apart. However, be assured you were led here for a reason, and you’re the one who decided not to turn back. The only thing that the Tower represents is what doesn’t work anymore, but what’s real will stay with you.

The Tower Reversed

The Tower card appears reversed when you rely too much on what others say is the “right way” even when it’s failing right in front of you. For example, going back (over and over again) to a family member who prides themselves on being a mechanic with yet another car problem. Make no mistake, you’re dealing with the problem (your car issues) but the larger lesson is missing you. You are being asked to open up to new experiences. Be prepared to take back a decision you were previously sure of. It won’t be easy. Upright this card is about a crash, and reversed it is too, though reversed it’s a situation you feel comfortable in. Regardless, it won’t last long. Whether or not you depend on it, give thanks to it, or sacrifice for it, it will collapse soon.
