The Night
The Night card appears at the exact midpoint of a negative experience or when something is obscuring your senses. A solid test is to ask yourself, “What is up for debate here?” We’ve all thought we saw a monster in the dark only for it to be a pile of clothes on a chair. This card also speaks to an overactive imagination—a phrase that communicates both worrying, and genius. It’s only natural to fill in missing information. Each of us does with varying degrees of creativity. As the card of illusion and confusion, this is a low time, but you can only go up from here. Take note of anything significant you experience. In the future you’ll be asked to lead someone else out of a similar darkness. Remembering specific signs will help.
The Night Reversed
People around you feel like you’re losing yourself to paranoia or nightmares. Although you have a natural talent for compartmentalizing the macabre, there comes a point where enough is enough, even for you. You’re overwhelmed by your problems. The solution is simple—instead of looking “out there” for the answers, inquire within. This will also help you with creative blocks and paralysis by fear. The institutions or other people who have power over you don’t affect your daily life as much as you think. In other words, “mind your own business.” Even if you are correct about the situation at hand, and you may very well be, it’s not what needs your focus.
