Judgement
The Fool, who is all of us on this divine journey, has come a long way. Represented as a cheerful crow with a message from the sky, Judgement is here to help you reach the next stage: forgiveness of self. Face-to-face with Judgement now, the Fool feels like they’re at the end of something but they don’t know what. Regardless, they’re calm and at peace. “Forgive yourself, and you will be forgiven.” Judgement says. “You did your best. Each moment, you took the best choice you had.” A warm glow washes over the Fool all at once and they hear a clap inside their head, signifying the end of a chapter, as their feet ground back down into the earth. This card cleanses you of fear, guilt, and regret over past mistakes. Don’t worry about them now. You’re on a new track.
Judgement Reversed
Although this card’s name is intimidating, it’s actually positive. We all look up for judgement. Plants look up to the sun, dogs look up to us, and we look up to our higher power or worldly role models. This card appears reversed when you’re looking to someone, or maybe something like an ideology, that’s not worthy of judging you, to give you a sense of self-worth or a “good job.” For example, we all know that typical story of a failing marriage, kids and all, where everyone would be better off if a figurehead just… left. But they refuse to. And they think the world owes them something for their refusal. Many of us were raised by people like this who could never forgive themselves. They saw pain as something virtuous. “If I can’t be of value, at least I can deprive myself of happiness.” Judgement reversed wants to bring you a message: your value is in being happy, and you can’t make yourself happy with pain or suffering. Pay attention for signs from above that remind you daily of this message, and let them sink in a little more each day.
